After a VERRY long week with no word from my soldier, he called for a very few minutes....he called nonetheless. He had a couple scares while on mission, but we thank God for His safety and protection. I think my parents notice my quietness the last couple days...I don't realize how not hearing from him affects my mood until I do hear from him. And...overwhelmed with a midterm paper that I've got one week to complete and turn in by next monday...suddenly I'm not liking school!
Today we finally made it to Sackets Harbor on the beautiful waterfront of Lake Ontario...it was gorgeous out..walked the battefield, strolled the museums, took lots of pictures...came home to mom's homemade split pea soup with french bread...I made homemade apple crisp!

Great great news that you heard from your soldier! I LOVE these pictures! I'm going to try not to tell you a million more times how beautiful you and your whole family are. I really like the picture by the doorway! You just keep getting better and better!

I am glad you "heard"..for some reason this week, the Lord put him on my heart..it was a moment....*just out of the blue*....I need to heed those promptings more and more...
