My yellow cottage kitchen

Yellow is the new summer color here. I have splashes of it here and there in the kitchen and I love how cheery it feels. I created this sign using canvas, black spray paint and chalk! :)

I also painted the shelf and distressed it a little!

my yellow vintage collander…..love my Ikea pot rack! However, I DO NOT love my cupboards…but, you don’t get a say in army housing what cupboards you can have….and as much as I hate oak, these I really hate…laminate covered cabinets.  I would paint them white in a heart beat. I’m crossing fingers that I will have white ones when we move to Germany! BTW~ what would you do with these cabinets??? At one time I took the doors off and showed off my dishes…I only recently put them on, because we will be moving in a month.

I’m really lovin’ this sunny weather here in upstate NY….I will be busy putting my yard sale together of stuff I won’t be packing to move overseas. Have a wonderful weekend!

I will always have a love affair with sunny, cheery yellow. My whole main floor has been yellow since we moved in 5 years ago and I still love it so.

I really like how you used pops of yellow to brighten your space. So pretty!
